Cultivating A Carefree Morning On Your Wedding Day The Educated Bride

The Educated Bride

July 2, 2020

On your wedding day, you want to be a light and carefree bride.  You want to have butterflies in your stomach and excitement in the air!  We want your wedding day to be a relaxing and carefree day for you!  After-all you are about to marry your best friend, aka the man of your dreams!  All the hard work that you have been putting into this wedding throughout planning for the past year (or so), is at an end!  So we thought we would help out by giving you our top eight tips to help you with having a carefree morning on your wedding day.

On your wedding day, allow more time than you think you will need for getting ready! By allowing yourself more time than you think you will not be rushed and will enjoy your day!

When we arrive the first thing we will do is photograph details. So have all the bridal details ready (Dress, veil, jewelry, shoes, purse, perfume and if you didn’t send us one yet, please do, your invitation)!

Make sure you have natural light (window light) in the room that you are getting ready in. This light makes everything look so amazingly beautiful!

Keep the area by the window light free from the trash. A quick clean up of wrappers, water bottles, etc., will allow for beautiful images.

Having all of your bridesmaids (including MOH & the Mother of the Bride) all dressed and ready before you start getting dressed. These make for beautiful photographs! These ladies are special to you! Not every bridesmaid will be able to help zip the dress, but they can be a part of that moment!

Have your flowers delivered to the location where we will start your images before the wedding!  This adds pop and the finishing touch to your photographs! Also, having your flowers delivered to you is one thing off your checklist that you don’t have to worry about later!

To help those nerves, make sure that you have something to eat! Even something as simple as a snack to your dressing room! It could be fruit, cheese; crackers. These snacks help you keep up your energy until the reception!  Also, lots of bottled water! (p.s.- don’t forget the straws!)

Lastly, just remember to breathe! In just a few moments you will be making your grand entrance and you will look stunning!

We hope these few tips will help you with your wedding day preparation. Remember to enjoy every moment as your day will go by so fast.
