March Encouragement

It is time to kick that winter blues to the curb, and welcome springtime joy in!

There are just some weeks that you have that are really great and productive! You accomplish the tasks you sent out to do or achieve more than what you were ever going to expect! Which is AMAZING, right?! Yet, there are other weeks…are a struggle. They are a struggle to even get one or two things accomplished. To check off of your to-do list and it is frustrating. Your head feels cloudy or unfocused and you don’t know what to do.  You just feel stuck in this rut and you really don’t know how to get out. You look at a blank blog post screen and can’t find the words to type. You look at your house, and you just don’t have the energy to clean it. I would say that the last week has been like that for us in the MRP office. Have you ever felt like that? Well, we want to kick that feeling right out there door now that March is officially here!!

Today is not only our #monthlydutyday, but it is also the #FreshStartSpring (Thanks Lara!!) and we want to throw away all those winter blues feelings of not feeling productive out!! Today we wanted to share with you our encouraging statement for this month and how we strive to be productive when we are feeling cloudy headed!

It isn’t about perfection or always reaching a 100 on your goal sheet, it is about the progress and the journey throughout each month! Take each thing, one step at a time. That is all we can do! 🙂

Our tips on how to strive for productivity & what do we do when we feel overwhelmed! P.S.- This is what we have found works for us, if you have another way, we would love to hear about it in the comments below!!

  • Productivity: Everyday when Sara comes into work, we talk about what each other will do during the time we have together in the morning. So we clearly state what each of us would like to do and then what we have to do. Figuring out these things first in the morning clears up miscommunication and one step closer to finishing your monthly goals!!
  • Stress Relief: In that moment you want to push yourself to work when you feel down or can’t really think, but take a moment to have a 5-10 minute stretch break…outside!! I know that we are just starting to get back into the warm spring weather and walking outside in the cold is not the most ideal situation, but trust us, fresh air is the best! It will help you focus and help you feel refreshed!
  • Productivity: Write the most important things down on a pretty pad of paper to encourage you to get those items checked off!! Once you get the “must haves” done, you can move on to the fun things…and that is really all we want to do right? 🙂
  • Stress Relief : Feeling bogged down? Take a 5-10 minute meditation nap. Go lay somewhere completely different from your normal place of working and have a meditation session filled with deep breathing. This will give you a “power nap” that your body may need!
  • Productivity: Really feeling like you need to step up your day by turning up the tunes? Putting on a really energetic song or something that you find helps you be more productive, will really help you!
  • Stress Relief: It really is the simplest one, but it is so powerful and beneficial…drink A LOT of water. Drink probably 1-2 glasses while sitting outside or taking your break. The water will really help you feel more awake and ready to catch up on your list!!

Happy March!!
