From Friendship to a Sisterhood | Personal

(Sara POV): Hitting year number ten of friendship with some of these ladies (one is more like 13 years) just blows me away. I believe that there is a point where you pass the notion of just being really good friends, to becoming sisters. To really knowing, trusting, believing and encouraging one another. This year we are all celebrating our 25th birthdays. Surreal point #2 right there. In our friendships we are almost at that point of knowing each other for almost HALF of our life. A life filled with happiness, challenges, struggles, and of course growth.

We have all seen each other grow into the women that we are today, our lives have blurred together. Michelle is like a second mother to them and their mom like my second mom to me. Our house was the hang out, party central, sleep over hub house. From holidays to birthday parties, we would always have someone over! Michelle gained daughters throughout these friendships over the years. After an Engagement session on Friday, we went out to celebrate my friend (Marie’s) birthday! The first of all of us to turn 25! Of course, always getting selfie’s, I couldn’t resist asking Michelle to take a nice picture of us all together!

(Michelle POV): I was just telling Sara the other day how much I miss seeing these ladies. Watching them grow up together, share laughter and trailed with one another and learning to become adults. Each one of them bring something so different to the others, it truly is amazing to watch these ladies help each other in their lives and to grow in Christ. I have seen them start from 6th grade onward grow. When Sara got married, the night before she had her last final sleepover. It felt like my last sleepover as well. So when Sara asked me to take a few photographs of them, of course I couldn’t say no. I really miss those precious days of when I would fall asleep to the laughter of the girls in the living room or celebrating those grand moments in life.

I will forever cherish those memories and never let them go.
