Bridesmaid Gift Idea – Velvet Makeup Bag Review THE EDUCATED BRIDE

A few months ago, Michelle and I received an email from Joe from Bridesmaid Gifts Boutique. Bridesmaid Gifts Boutique is an online shop dedicated fully to bridesmaid gifts and in return for a review on the blog, he wanted to send us a free gift.

The three gifts that we could choose from are a personalized velvet makeup bag, a stemless wine cup or engraved champagne glass. For our gift, we picked the light blue (with cream threading) personalized velvet makeup bag! We were truly how shocked by how fast it arrived in our mailbox!

We told Joe that we would give an honest review of the bag and here is the truth – we love it. The first moment we felt the bag, it was dreamy. The outside has a velvet material that is SO soft but feels so durable.

In order to give you a real review, we took it on the road! We took it on our latest trip to Chicago for several days. It stowed away in luggage, was packed with makeup, and used every day. It had a LOT of space inside and I even purchased makeup while traveling! And it stood up to the travel without any dirt clinging to it.

The best part about this velvet makeup bag being a perfect bridesmaid gift is how customizable it truly is. You can choose from a variety of colors for the bag AND the thread of the custom lettering. You even get to choose the lettering style which is honestly very rare in these types of products. I think one of the best things about it is the low investment for such a lovely bag!
