A Joyful Phillips Chapel Wedding + A Whimsical Greensboro Science Center Reception | Greensboro, NC
For wedding photographers, it is such a fun experience to photograph in new venues and with new vendors! This GORGEOUS wedding brought on two new venues, Canterbury School and Greensboro Science Center, with a lot of whimsical touches! Our favorite part of Canterbury School was the gorgeous glass stained windows high in Philips Chapel along with the black marbled flooring! Just breathtaking!! The Greensboro Science Center added the whimsical part to the wedding! You were surrounded by adorable creatures of the sea such as an array of fish, penguins, octopus, and the large petting tank with multiple stingrays!
Lora and Caleb have been such an amazing couple! They are so down to earth, fun to work with, and goodness they can ROCK a couple session!! They aren’t afraid to get a little messy and you can just genuinely see the love they have for each other! They were so attentive to all the details from the flowers, to the cake, to the invitations. It is our first time ever holding a invitation set from Nalabe, and it did NOT disappoint! They captured the beauty of Lora and Caleb’s wedding into a few pieces of stunning paper. It was one of our favorite invitation set yet!! Along with that, Lora had a lot of classic touches such as her Maggie Sottero dress with the keyhole back dress! Her earrings and necklace were a set given to her by her aunt with a completely unique cut stone! Lora wore this necklace and earring set at their engagement session!
We have so many moments we could share, but just a few of our favorite! As the day began to tick down to the ceremony time, Lora wanted to do a first look with her Father! Not one eye was not focused on this beautiful moment shared between the two of them. We even think everyone couldn’t stop crying at just how sweet this first look was! Lora and Caleb had the cutest group of ring bearers and a flower girl! The youngest ring bearer was allowed to hold on to his favorite blue teddy bear, squirt! The sweetest moment was when we were photographing the whole bridal party with Lora and Caleb, Sara asked if she could hold Squirt just so we could take one formal photograph! His response was so sweet, he trusted Sara with Squirt…she even let Squirt photograph with her! One of the last details that we want to share is the gift Lora made for Caleb for the wedding! Lora made two identical pins, one for her bouquet and one for his tie, that had a marbled top. This marbled top included fur from Caleb’s beloved dog and dried flowers from their first date!
They always say April showers bring May flowers, but in this case the rain held off long enough for Lora and Caleb to have amazing photographs of their day outside!! This wedding left us…just speechless!!
Congratulations Lora and Caleb, we are so excited for you both and can’t believe how lucky we are that we got to capture your lovely day!
