The quiet campus was filled with laughter as Lara kissed Mars’ cheek while we awed behind the clicking of our cameras. He leaned back and said,

“I never thought an Engagement photo-shoot would be this easy,” in the sweetest New Zealand accent.

Monday’s warm summer evening was perfect for the most adorable engagement session! Mars and Laura are a fun, adorable, traveling aficionados that are planning their wedding as they travel around the country! As they walked hand in hand, we walked all over UNC discovering the most incredible love story!  Laura is a linguistics professor who travels the world teaching. Mars is a writer working on his first publication! Mars is a perfect mix of Norwegian, British, and New Zealand as he was born in Norway, but has lived in New Zealand his whole life!

This is how the story begins, Laura and Mars met in New Zealand when Laura traveled there to teach! They fell in love and when Laura came back to the states, Mars followed her to continue on growing their relationship.  When Mars was ready to take the next step, he proposed to Laura at Woodstock (NH) over a gorgeous wooden bridge! It sounds like a magical proposal, and of course she said YES!

Sara and I just loved photographing these two! They loved to have just have fun, laugh, and loved finding those little niches on UNC’s campus! No longer can we wait, enjoy scrolling through some of our favorites from Laura and Mars’s shoot!! These photographs will have you smiling from ear to ear!!
