A Springtime Tryon Palace Engagement Session - Michelle and Sara Photography

It is such a funny story of how Ashleigh and Trey became one of our darling June couples. We received Ashleigh’s initial email that stated that our precious M&S couple, Sarah and Dan, gave them the sweetest recommendation for us and we’re so thankful they did! We first met them for lunch as we traveled down to New Bern for a Bridal session for another sweet M&S couple and they are the sweetest!! These two just beam pure joy and happiness! We loved talking with them about their wedding plans, how Ashleigh loves food and travels, and how Trey loves woodworking! (He also loves golfing too, but that’s another topic for later!)

Ashleigh and Trey wanted to have their engagement session in a place that is very special to them down in New Bern at the Tryon Palace. This historical landmark in New Bern is beyond gorgeous! The gardens were lovely as ever and the perfect background for these two! We could have a never ending list of our favorite things, but the gigantic tulips were in perfect bloom for us!! And of course, we took full advantage of it. 😉 The best of it all was how they (and us included) kept laughing until we cried and wishing that the session could never end!

At the very end, we went to a second location, Cypress Hall, for one pretty amazing photo. Since Trey loves woodworking, he made this beautifully crafted bar top table for a local restaurant in downtown New Bern! When they brought up the idea of going there towards the end of the session for a few photographs we said YES! We thought it would be amazing and it was!! The owner, the best ever, kept the area clear for us! You’ll see a few of them below and we LOVED how they came out!

We seriously cannot wait for their beautiful early June wedding in New Bern!!!
