It is safe to say that we travel a lot with our husbands, Jake and Joe, which is a HUGE blessing that we love! Ever since Sara and Jake married in 2014, we’ve taken a yearly adventure together. Last year, I think, was the only year we didn’t do a big trip but that was because of their two week West Coast trip! This year we’ve set up two trips with the four of us! The first trip to the Sunshine State was at the end of April and our second will be in the middle of September to the windy city, Chicago! But first, our fun little recap of our trip to the beautiful Sunshine State, Florida!
It was a fairly quick trip and a lot of plans wanting to be packed into it! While we didn’t get to everything (or see everyone) we wanted to, it was still a wonderful trip!! We arrived in on Wednesday and hit the ground runnin’, all the way to Portillo’s that is! We are all foodies so food was kind of a major priority for this trip and oh boy it was!
Other than the food, our Friday and Saturday were the two biggest days for us. Friday was a day spent completely at Epcot! And oh boy it did not disappoint! We ate so much food and explored so many different countries, our favorite? France!! Don’t get us wrong, Italy was fantastic and one of our favorites, but France took the cake. Or maybe croissant would be better? 😉 Not only was the garden festival happening when we were there but the food and drinks were SO good!
Saturday was the day where we split off, Joe and Jake went deep sea fishing and we met with friends! The gents were on the boat for a full day where they got sunburnt and cause a few fish. For us, we met up with two sweet friends Laura and Jamie! There was plenty of driving involved, but honestly, it was so worth it. Seeing sweet friends, exploring downtown farmer markets, chit-chatting about life and work was incredible. It was honestly fueling for the soul!
We ended our inbetweens lounging by the pool, eating really great authentic Italian food, exploring downtown used book stores and enjoy the beautiful weather! While we could share a HUGE blog post about all of our adventures in Florida, we wanted to share just a little bit of a highlight reel on the blog!
