This summer was one of the busiest, but absolutely the best ever! We started off the month of June with Ashleigh and Trey’s New Bern wedding and now ending it with Maddie and John’s stunning 1705 East wedding!
To say that we were excited about their beautiful day was honestly the most understated statement. We were beyond ecstatic for their day!
After spending time with them at their engagement session we knew that the wedding day was going to fill with a lot of joy and fun! While it did have a lot of joy and fun, there were so many precious moments that we cannot forget to mention.
With the wedding day formal photographs (with no first look) before the ceremony, the bride always goes first! So after Maddie’s formals, we tucked her away and brought John out for his session. The sweetest thing was the quietness in his voice saying, “she [Maddie] was just here. She was standing right here a few minutes ago.” Taking a deep, shaky, breath he said it again with just as much tenderness in his voice.
The other touching moment we loved watching unfold? Watching John’s reaction to Maddie being walked down the aisle. Everyone watching could just see how much he truly loves, adores, and treasures Maddie. Even just writing about it is making us choke up!
If you saw Maddie’s gorgeous (and touching) private residential bridal session then you will know about her father, Jack. Praise to God that Jack was at the wedding to be apart and enjoy the wedding celebration! Jack walked Maddie down the aisle, kissed her check during photographs, danced their father/daughter dance together and gave a joyfully wonderful toast to the newly-weds! You best believe that there was not a dry eye in the room.
Maddie and John, thank you. Thank you for inviting us in and not only be your friends, but feel like we’re family! Enjoy this beautiful, little, sneak peek of your wedding day and enjoy the beautiful mountains for your honeymoon!
