An engagement session is so much more than having your photographs taken. It is a time that our couples can begin to experience what they can expect from us! Also, it is a great way for us to connect even more with each other! We believe that your time in front of the camera should be fun, easy going and relaxed. So here are a few reasons why you should have an engagement session!
Number One – Engagement sessions are a great trial run!
An engagement session affords you to take some time to learn how to be together in front of a camera. Think about it, when was the last time you two were in front of professional camera together?! It’s probably been a while! This hour that you spend with us (or your photographer) is a time to relax and get comfortable.While getting comfortable, you both get to learn about posing, gain confidence and have fun doing so!
It takes about 15 minutes to fully warm up to the camera, so when it comes to your wedding day you can feel like a rock star! You will be flawless, everything will click together beautifully, and you will know how you want to pose! No worries about learning anything, you will be a pro from the engagement session. To see how easily everything will flow together will amaze you! Also, you get to show off. 😉
Number Two – An engagement session lets us get to know one another!
Along with learning how to be in front of an camera, this is a chance to get to know more about us! To meet us, to see how we flow, and how we have fun with great couples like you! It also gives us the chance to get to learn more about the two of you. We really love hearing all about your story, how you two met, and everything in between! Along with that reason, it allows us to fully capture your gorgeous personalities! By the end of the engagement session, you and your fiance feel so comfortable in front of the camera, in front of us and you’re ready for your big day!
Number Three – Boost your confidence for the wedding day!
On your wedding day, you do not need to worry about your couple session! In your engagement session you will build confidence to completely rock out your portrait session WITHOUT us! You can look at your engagement photographs, see your favorite poses, and remember them for the wedding. If the session was taken at the wedding venue location then you could even have wedding portraits in your FAVORITE spot! No worries, just gorgeous photographs just for you and your new husband.
Number Four- Photographs to remember the moment and to use!
Selfie’s have their advantages when it comes to how photography technology! However, they have no comparison when it comes to having professional photographs taken of you! The photographs from your session can be used as Save the Date cards, to hang on your walls in your new home, or an Engagement announcement! If you wanted an album for your house, you could have a guest book album created for those at the wedding to sign. It adds one more layer of memories on top of memories.
