A personal struggle I have been having this week is getting out of bed! These gray, rainy days have tired to lure me to go curl up with something warm to drink and read a book cuddled up on the couch. This week I have struggled to give myself rest but rather pushed through everything I needed to do. You know those days?! The struggle to just have a moment of the buzzing to stop, the to-do lists to slow down, and to sleep in an extra hour. To shut off our phones and to spend time with a dear friend who brings joy to our hearts?
As women, we take care and nurture so many people in our lives and the one person we forget to nurture sometimes is ourselves. So I have finally decided to start making a few small changes here and there! These changes that YOU make can be big or small, a lot of change or just a little at a time! What changes have I started to make??
- First, I start taking time for myself each and every morning! Just taking a few minutes clear your mind is the best.
- Secondly, I started to take 15 minutes and begin small workouts! Now its been raining all week so the workout has been inside, but I can still how it really is helping!
- One more thing I am starting tonight is Sara started to take each evening about 9:00ish and stop scrolling her phone and electronics as she can. I have decide to follow in her footsteps. After all, I am on the computer most days or behind a camera on others.
So lets start by doing small steps and as we do this, let’s celebrate the small wins in life and count all reason why we should be grateful for everyday!
