A Cozy Fall Inspired Engagement Session | UNC Chapel Hill

Every engagement session is just as different and unique as the next…which is what makes our job so amazingly fun!  This session was VERY fun for Sara and I as we both know Matthew and Leah!  Sara and Leah met back in 2010 when they both went to the same church with each other.  Sara and I know Matthew because we live just right across the street from one another! Neighbors for almost 21 years! When all of the kids were younger, I still remember those sweet memories of all of them playing outside with each other! Now after both of my kids have gotten married, it was so exciting to hear about Matthew getting engaged!  When I received a call from Susan, Matthew’s mother, asking if we could photograph their wedding, I couldn’t say no!

While walking around UNC Chapel Hill, we got to hear more about how Matthew and Leah met. How they have known each other for years, but truly started dating after they reconnected back at church! Sara’s favorite part is how Matthew proposed! Matthew took Leah to the Biltmore Estates for her birthday this past April, completely by surprise! Matthew had the whole day planned with a Biltmore tour and proposing on the agenda! (But Leah didn’t know that at the time ;). It was too cute to see him explain that he spent the night before trying on different jackets with different sized ring boxes to remain undetected! And while walking through the many beautiful gardens he found the perfect place! It was being surrounded by the beautiful blooming Azaleas in the Azalea gardens! Completely in their own little Azalea cove, Matthew proposed with a custom designed ring!
