Thanksgiving At The Rivers | Personal

Can you not believe that it is already December?! It feels as if yesterday was just the beginning of 2016 with the whole year ahead! Yet, before we jump into all of the Christmas festivities (which we have A LOT to show), I (Sara) have been wanting to share a little bit more about our Thanksgiving dinner!

This year was the first year that Jake and I held Thanksgiving at our home! It was just an amazing to have the family all over to celebrate! Jake loved being in charge of the gorgeous turkey, creamy mashed potatoes, and making the yummy drinks! I was in charge of the stuffing, the garlic green beans and the turkey gravy! One tradition that we started a few years back is having everyone bring a dish to the gathering! It adds that little something special to the dinner table!

I also took up the task of setting up and decorating the dinner table! Now let me just say that setting up the table was one of my FAVORITE parts of the dinner! I originally wanted to have eucalyptus leaves instead of the bundles of herbs, but Trader Joe’s was all out of eucalyptus leaves! Which ending up working in our favor because of the amazing herbs that it held! Rosemary, thyme, and sage made the house smell so amazing!
