Sara and I have been counting down the days to Bre and Jonathan’s intimate City Lake Baptist Church wedding for months now! Three months ago we had their adorable engagement session at the JC Raulston Arboretum. There we learned all about the beginning of their incredible story, on Saturday – their story began a new chapter.

While their wedding day had precious moments sprinkled throughout, we cannot stop ourselves from sharing a few of our favorites! If we had to choose a favorite moment, the first look would be the one. As Jonathan turned around to see Bre for the first time that day, he couldn’t move. As he gravitated towards Bre, he pulled her close and just savored the moment. It was so sweet to see Jonathan gently touch Bre’s check with tenderness and love. Sara and I couldn’t hold back tears from falling.

Another favorite had to be the moment of Bre and Jonathan reading their hand-written vows to each other in front of family and friends. Each wrote their heart, love, and devotion to one another – centering that love around Christ.

The reception held a lot of favorite moments for Bre and Jonathan. Jonathan danced the sweetest mother-son dance with his mom, Susan, that had us in tears! They swayed and twirled to the song Georgia which is something Susan would do with Jonathan when he was a young boy. During the toasts, the Best Man and Maid of Honor gave heartfelt, encouraging words to the couple.

Our third favorite moment from the reception was their private last dance together. Sara and I always encourage our couples to share in a private last dance together before the send-off. After photographing just a few moments, I snuck out to prepare for their bubble exit photo. Sara, staying behind, entered as the music came to a close and she peered inside to see them sharing a last hug with tears softly falling down their checks.

Bre and Jonathan, we cannot thank you both enough for letting us capture your precious day. Enjoy the beautiful sunshine down in South Carolina and just a little sneak peek of your wedding day!!
