 You either adore or you are at a complete loss when it comes to the essentials of Valentine’s Day! We understand, sometimes you just tired of bringing home red roses and a giant box of heart shaped chocolates for your loved one. Yet, what to do? A LOT. Yes, Pinterest is a fantastic place to find ideas, but we are going to bring you some of our Valentine’s Day essentials to make every Valentine’s Day different! You can include these ideas into one v-day or do these ideas for a few years to come!

Also, a big rule about Valentine’s Day…you really don’t have to spend a lot of money to impress your crush, girlfriend/boyfriend, fiance, or spouse. Sometimes, simple is so much sweeter and nicer! Except if you expecting to propose, you may want to go a little bit out and make it even EXTRA special! Or if you spending the evening with yourself, your friends, or your family…you can still use these essentials! You gotta treat yourself sometimes! 🙂

1. Traditional Gifts, but with a twist! If you want still give somewhat of a traditional gift, you can do flowers with a twist! You could bring her a flower with a note attached to it! Or you could bring her a collection of flowers that are in her favorite color(s)! It doesn’t always have to be red or pink! Maybe add some wildflowers or unique flowers into the bunch! On the other hand, if chocolate is a must then take her a local chocolatier shop! Then you can buy her chocolate that you know will be amazing!!

2.  A Spa Day! You could spend a lot of money to go to a spa, or you could spend just a little and have it at home! It is not secret that we love the products from Lush.usa! The best thing to purchase is any bath bomb that sounds amazing to you!

3.  Breakfast in Bed! For those sweeties who just love to wake up and enjoy a nice breakfast in bed, this is perfect! You can show your creativity and show your love with delicious gifts! You could make french toast, pancakes, waffles, egg-y in a basket, and so much more!! It doesn’t all have to be “heart shaped,” but just made with love! Oh, don’t forget the coffee or hot tea!

4.  Cook Something Together! Maybe you love cooking together? Do it!! Spending time cooking together, laughing, and focused on just one another. You can stay home, cuddle up after you finish, and you don’t have to worry about long lines! Oh, and the amazing part is that you can cook ANYTHING you two want! No hard choices or surprises out!

5.  Unplugged Valentine’s Day! You always hear of a wedding day being unplugged, why not for special days like Valentine’s Day? Yes, you might miss what is current at the moment on Instagram, but these are moments and memories you will get back. Spend a day with your sweetie unplugged from your phone, and engage into real conversation and laughter! Trust me, those are the memories that you will cherish when you’re eighty.
