A Seaside Wedding at Jennette’s Pier, Nags Head Outer Banks, North Carolina
We believe the best words for this wedding are: love, beachy wind, Jennette’s Peir (new venue!!), and TONS of happy tears! Photographing a wedding is our passion, but photographing a wedding for a dear dear friend is like our DREAM…and it came true!! Let us just tell you, this wedding will make you want to just jump right into car to head down to the beach! Even with 35 MPH winds (with wind gust up to 50 MPH,) Taylor and Lyz completely ROCKED out all their photographs outside and never complained!! From start to finish, they were just amazing! Their couple session?? DREAMY. There are just so many moments during the day that we can clearly remember, but time never stopped moving!
The rehearsal dinner was held at Pamlico Jacks Restaurant which has a bay window view, there we had a scrumptious dinner and were delighted to view the gorgeous sunset over the ocean. Truly a lovely evening!
Taylor and Lyz were married at the most beautiful beach venue, Jennette’s Pier, out on the pier! As the ceremony started, Taylor walked down the isle with Bethany, Lyz’s daughter, then stood to wait for the beautiful bride! While the wind whipped around, the bride came out bringing Taylor just to joyful tears! During the sand ceremony, Taylor got down on one knee to present Bethany with a ring. This ring was telling her of how much he loved her and his commitment to her! It was the most precious moment and there not a single dry eye! Taylor and Lyz wanted to remember and cherish her grandfather, so Lyz place her grandfather’s wedding ring on Taylor during the ceremony!
We can’t express the joy we felt being around so many people we love, some we have not seen in years. For Sara is was like a high school reunion as she, Taylor, Kevin, Nikki, Cameron and Ian all went to school together. For me, it was an honor to shoot one of my dearest friends son’s wedding as well as the joy of seeing some old friends.
The most beautiful thing throughout the whole wedding day was the joy, all the excitement, and the pure & raw love that was displayed. It was just simply striking!
