Along with wedding photography, selecting your wedding venue is one of the most important items you will check off your wedding to-do list! Of course, right after you select your wedding dress and the honeymoon spot!
We know there is a lot on your wedding to-do list, but that is why we are here to help! This topic, wedding venues and how to find the perfect one for your wedding, is one of the biggest questions we hear about so that’s what we are here to talk about it today! In this article, you’ll find helpful tips for selecting your wedding venue as well as fifteen questions you might be interested in asking your venue!
Every wedding venue is completely different and each one will change the feel of the wedding day. Whether it is outside, rustic, inside, a church, chic, in a barn, a tent, a gazebo, a bed in breakfast venue – there are tons to choose from! Each venue gives you different feels for your day! But…how do you choose? You have so many options, how do you choose just one??
Tip #1: What are you and your fiances budget?
Knowing this right off the bat will help you with everything else in the wedding process!
Tip #2: When/What day do you want to get married?
Setting the date right away might seem a little scary, but don’t worry! It’s one thing off your to-do list, and this will help when looking for your venue, photographer, etc!
Tip #3:D o you want a Traditional Wedding, Destination Wedding, A Home Wedding, or A Quirky Location?
T his will help you create the ambiance of your wedding, and some of them will be scratched off the list after you figure out a few more things!
Tip #4: Estimate how many guests you are inviting!
Once you have a minimum guest number, that is what you can work with to figure out what venues you can and cannot end up having! Adding people, in this case, is easier than taking away, easier for you!
Tip #5: Find the venue online, but don’t just leave it there!
Take it to the internet! When looking for a venue, look online to see images from professional photographers of weddings that happened at the venue you are viewing! Along with that, email and ask for a tour! Many venues offer a free tour of the property and it’s really important to physically go there to look at your potential venue!
